parkrun Your Way
A women and girls project.
This 12 month project aimed to better understand motivations amongst women and girls that can lead to parkrun participation.
The project consists of 37 short films featuring women and girls from all over Australia, who speak on camera about how parkrun positively impacted their lives.
During the development of this documentary series, we got to see first hand how much the simple concept of parkrun brings people together, creates strong communities, gets people active and outdoors, and genuinely changes lives.

Keep on moving
Throughout her life, Lenore has always used walking as a form of exercise and as a way to explore new towns when travelling for work.
On one of these walks, Lenore stumbled upon a volunteer measuring out a parkrun course and asked what she was doing.
A few weeks later, Lenore went along to her first parkrun and the rest is history!
Living our best lives
Veronika was diagnosed with Down's syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism and epilepsy after she was born, and her parents were told she would never walk.
Watch how parkrun has given Veronika social confidence and allows Veronika and mum, Kylee, to live their best lives.
